Security and audit
Every action on the record
Each organization is isolated, and every user action is written to an append-only activity log that tenant owners can review and export.
- Tamper-evident. Log entries are hash-chained, so changes to past entries can be detected.
- True redaction. Redacted content is removed from the saved file, not just covered.
- AES-256 passwords. Encrypt PDFs and restrict printing, copying or editing.
- Admin portal. Tenant owners manage users, roles, billing and reports.

Frequently asked questions
Do people need a separate Team EditSign account?
No. Staff sign in through Microsoft Teams with single sign-on (Microsoft Entra ID). Only the person who creates the organization signs up with an email address and password.
Where are our documents stored?
In your own Microsoft 365 storage. Files open from and save back to OneDrive and the Teams channels you have access to, or to your own computer.
Can we use it outside Teams?
Yes. The same editor works in a web browser.
Do signers need an account?
No. Internal colleagues and external parties can sign without an account. Invitations are sent from the sender's own Microsoft 365 mailbox.
Can signing requests show our own logo and address?
Yes, on every plan. Upload your logo and it replaces ours on the signing page and in signing emails. You can also use your own subdomain, such as sign.yourcompany.com, for signing links by adding one DNS record.
Does it work on phones?
Yes. Signers can sign on any device, and the editor adapts to small screens: tool sets move into a menu and side panels open over the page.
What is a signing request?
One document sent for signature, regardless of how many people sign it. Each plan includes a monthly allowance, and extra requests cost $100 per 100 extra signing requests. Purchased requests never expire.
